We had a "Love"ly Valentine's Day and hope you did too. We started a tradition to have a candle light dinner with our kiddos every year. They love it and look forward to the special occasion. This year we made heart shaped individual pizzas. I also decided to make a caesar salad and made our own croutons in sweet little heart shapes too. They were yummy and adorable. We had Valentine cupcakes for dessert. Soooooooo good!!! The kids woke up on V-day morning to find what the "love bug" (aka: mom and dad) had left for them. Brynlee got some accessories for her Zhu-Zhu pets, a Tinker-Bell book and some candy. The boys had an extra-special treat of tickets to go see their favorite comedian...Brian Regan...live. They were thrilled! They also got a giant Reeces heart to enjoy. We went to the Brian Regan show on Thursday and it was awesome! Brynlee got to have an extra-special night at home with auntie Mary while we went.
My hubby did something sweet for me too for Valentine's day. He got together with the hubby's of our friends and they all made invitations for us wives. We were presented the invitations at the same time, on the same night. They were little boxes with an invite that told us that they were taking us to dinner and told us to RSVP. We also got movie tickets and a gift card to Victoria's Secret (hmmmm...was that for US or for THEM??? LOL!!!) They ended up taking us to the Melting Pot for dinner (YUM!) and they had gotten the coveted reservation for Valentine's way in advance. Way to go guys! We went to the movie and enjoyed the night thoroughly! Gotta love the day of love!
